SCCF’s Risk Management team includes former BNP Paribas and Société Générale managers assessing all risks with a combined experience of 40 years of experience in risk management, debt recovery and insurance
Completing the senior members of management, our head of Legal has 30 years of experience in Commodity Trade and Structured Finance and debt recovery within large international banks.
Adequate back up personnel is also employed to ensure the smooth running of many transactions monitored by SCCF from basic Soft Commodities to specialized metals and Petroleum products.
Founder & CEO
Dimitri, the CEO and Founder of SCCF, has more than 28 years of experience in Trade Finance, Structured Finance and commodities trading. Before founding SCCF in 2004, Dimitri was Vice President at BNP Paribas (Suisse) SA. Prior to joining BNP Paribas, Dimitri worked in other Swiss banks and at Finco division of André & Cie SA , a Swiss major commodities trading company.
Head of Risk
Patricia has over 25 years experience in Commodity Trade Finance and Corporate Banking as a Senior Credit Officer – Risk management – and was previously Head of Credit in leading banks, notably Credit Suisse and BNP Paribas Suisse. All of her extensive previous hands-on experience allows her to fulfil her position at SCCF today as Head of Credit Risk with a strong amount of competence.
Head of legal
Philippe Berta is a Swiss qualified lawyer, formerly General Counsel at BNP Paribas in Switzerland and Head of Legal Trade Finance at Banque Cantonale Vaudoise. His areas of expertise are Commodity Trade and Structured Finance, Corporate and Shipping Finance, Private Banking, Regulatory and Compliance matters. Philippe participated in the 1990s in the creation and organisation in Geneva of a new Swiss bank active in Commodity Trade Finance.
Philippe is a member of the ICC Banking Commission Legal Committee and of the Financial Crime Risk and Policy Compliance Group in Paris and acts from time to time as DOCDEX expert under the ICC alternative dispute resolution rules. Philippe is also in charge of Module 12 “Legal and Compliance” of the Diploma of Advance Studies in Commodity Trading at the University of Geneva.
Russ has been involved in Trade and Structured Finance for 39 years. After starting his banking career in Switzerland at UOB in the eighties, Russ joined ING, also in Geneva where he remained until 2005 when he joined Standard Chartered Bank in London before leaving the UK to set up the bank’s Representative Office in Switzerland in 2006. Russ finally left Stanchart in 2014 to pursue his career at Amsterdam Trade Bank in the Netherlands for the last 4 and a half years before joining SCCF in February 2019.
Sébastien has more than 15 years of experience in asset management and business development. Before SCCF, Sébastien was in charge of the marketing and business development at Diapason Commodities Management SA, a leading asset management firm in commodity investment solutions, Prior Diapason, he was structured products sales at Société Générale Alternative Investment in Paris.
Head of Structured Finance
Charles-Guillaume is a structured finance banker with over 10 years experience in the commodity sector. Prior to joining SCCF in December 2019, Charles-Guillaume spent 8 years in the Structured Debt department of BNP Paribas, financing commodity producers to fund their organic or external growth. Charles-Guillaume also worked 3 years in the Structured Trade Finance department of BNP Paribas, where he was in charge of originating and structuring working capital credit facilities in favor of commodity traders, refiners and bunkerers. Charles-Guillaume holds a Master’s Degree in Petroleum Economics from the French Petroleum Institute, a Master’s Degree in Mineral Economics from the Colorado School of Mines, and a Master’s Degree in Economics from the French engineering school “Ponts & Chaussées”.
Senior Trade Finance Manager
Daria has been with SCCF since early 2014. She is involved in the origination of new (CIS) clients, structuring of credit applications and monitoring of trade finance credit lines. She holds a Diploma of Advanced Studies in Commodity Trading from the Geneva School of Economics and Management Executive, University of Geneva. Daria has extensive experience in Commodity Trade Finance with specific expertise in oil products and grain exported from CIS countries.
Senior Relationship Manager
Sylvain is a senior relationship manager in charge of origination, structuring and monitoring of trade finance credit lines. Prior to joining SCCF, he has worked more than 10 years at BNP Paribas (Suisse) SA at different positions in Credit, Management and Front Office in Commodity Trade Finance. He holds a Master’s Degree in Economics and Management from the French business school EM Lyon.
Senior Trade Finance Manager
Humberto has more than 24 years of International Trade and Structured Finance experience. Humberto spent 20 years at Cargill where he held senior positions and managed various businesses within Latin American and US geography’s for Cargill’s Trade and Structured Finance and Structured Risk Management Business Units. Humberto will manage our US Branch in Miami and responsible for Origination in the Region.
Senior Relationship Manager
Selçuk has more than 20 years of experience in the financial services industry in international trade, commodity finance and corporate banking. Prior to joining SCCF, he held senior positions with Swiss and Dutch Banks (Credit Europe Bank Switzerland and Belgium and The Economy Bank NV Netherlands). Selçuk is responsible for origination of new clients, arranging trade and commodity finance solutions and corporate advisory services.
Corporate & AML Compliance
Marie-Anne is in charge of corporate matters, compliance and bank account openings. She received her Compliance Officer diploma, specialized in AML in 2018. Prior to joining SCCF in 2015, she worked as administrative and executive assistant during more than 5 years in an oil & gas trading company. Marie-Anne studied Management and International Business in both France and the United-States before graduating with a Master of Science at SKEMA Business School.
Marion is responsible for the Group’s accounting, audit and financial management functions. Before joining SCCF in October 2014, Marion worked in the Accounts department of an independent family-owned company with global market leadership in B-to-B distribution. She holds a Swiss Federal Diploma of Higher Education of Chartered Specialist in Accounting and Financial Management.
Trade Finance Manager
Anna Aleksandridi has more than 13 years’ experience in oil trade operations and trade finance. Before joining SCCF team in 2017, she worked as in Swiss business development and asset management companies as an executive assistant for corporate matters and operations manager. Anna joined SCCF team in December 2017 as a trade finance manager of petroleum products and grains trader clients coming mostly from CIS countries. She is in charge of structuring, monitoring and management of credit lines as well as following the trade finance requests and holding the positions of the clients.
Trade Finance Manager
Sahil started his career in hospitality management and acquired 7 years of experience in direct customer contact working for international brands such as Mandarin Oriental Hotel group and Nestlé. Passionate of international business, Sahil obtained a degree in economics with a specialization in international commodities trading in parallel to his work. At SCCF, Sahil is in charge of new trade finance requests, maintaining client positions for existing credit facilities as well as managing daily Cash flows.
Trade Finance Officer
Romain joined SCCF in February 2019 as Trade Finance Officer. He graduated from Geneva School of Business Administration in Commodity Trading. He assists the investment team for the implementation of new credit facilities and following up on existing trade finance transactions.
Graduated from SciencesPo Paris, Souad worked at Société Générale in Trade Finance in New York and Geneva offices for nearly 5 years before joining SCCF in January 2020. She is now in charge of assisting the Head of Risk in reviewing the credit requests and the renewals of credit facilities.
Trade finance officer
Albin discovered the crypto-currencies and the blockchain technology in 2014, while he worked in the innovation department of BNP Paribas. After some years of technical consulting in France regarding the blockchain technology, he joined SCCF in May 2018 to create an IT service regarding the data creation, collect and analyse for the commodity trading.
Irina joined SCCF in April 2019 to assist the Accounting department. She holds a Masters degree in Marketing & Business Communication and a Bachelors degree in Business Administration from the USPEE in Moldavia. Before joining SCCF, she worked as accountant assistant in a fiduciary company in Geneva.
Executive Assistant To CEO
Valérie joined SCCF in October 2018 as executive assistant to the CEO. She started her career in hospitality management working for international brands such as La Réserve Genève and Gstaad Palace. She holds a BTS (Brevet de Technicien Supérieur) from the École hôtelière of Strasbourg.
Akmal has more than 10 years of experience in the structured trade commodity finance. He held senior position specializing in the middle office managing the trade finance transactions, risk management and banking relationships at asset management company in Singapore. Akmal is responsible for origination of new clients in Singapore and the regions, advising funding solutions and corporate advisory services. Akmal graduated from Asian Banking, Finance and Informatics Institute Perbanas in Jakarta, Indonesia and Master of Business Administration from the University of Bradford, UK.
Richard joined SCCF in April 2020, covering commodity traders in Asia Pacific out of the Singapore office. Previously, he led the corporate and institutional banking team in UBAF, a subsidiary of Credit Agricole CIB, covering commodity traders from the largest in the world to smaller niche players in Asia Pacific, across all types of commodities, and focusing on trade with emerging and frontier markets. He also covered relationships with bank and non-bank financial institutions in the region for trade distribution, loans syndication and treasury activities. Prior to UBAF, he was with Bank of China, Singapore Branch and ANZ Auckland, covering commodity trade finance, syndicated loans and corporate finance advisory. He is a CFA Charterholder and graduated from INSEAD with an Executive Master in Finance with Distinction.
